Name: CANCELLED 2020 Sheet Metal Industry Night (Contractors/Designers)
Date: March 12, 2020
Time: 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM EDT
Event Description:
This event, hosted by the Western PA Sheet Metal Labor Management Cooperation Committee, and sponsored by Milwaukee Tool, is an opportunity for the contracting community to come together with the designers to discuss issues related to our industry and see what is new and exciting from the many exhibitors.

This year's educational program is geared toward technology in construction and is hosted by Trimble.  The abstract of their program is as follows:

As we leverage technology to enhance the digital revolution in construction, we will be exploring how Revit and the Augmented Reality headset can be used to deliver improved workflows. We achieve this by modelling with LOD 400 components in Revit. We then download to PAC or spool the duct out for fabrication. We will upload the Revit model to a cloud-based model viewer to share, collaborate, revise and document our process. We will then use the AR Headset to view the model in Augmented Reality to validate our intent in real-time. A piping rack will be on display that was fabricated from a spool drawing using a Revit add-in. This will allow the viewer to compare the fabricated rack in real time with the model sending a powerful message about the opportunities available when implementing modern construction technology.

Those who attend the educational program can receive 1.5 Professional Development Hours toward maintaining certifications.
